Thanks to so many consumers understanding the wisdom of upgrading to modern energy-efficient oilheating equipment—and all of the ways this can help them save money—the 2019 MEMA-National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) equipment rebate program has been another smashing success this year.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end. But in this case, it won’t be forever.
Because of such high demand, rebate applications can only be honored through Friday, Sept. 20, 2019. If you have already replaced your system and your heating oil dealer submits your rebate application by that date, it will be processed in regular order.
The good news is that the Maine Energy Marketers Association is committed to making more rebate funds available for oilheat consumers in 2020. We will be working hard to make that happen. We are pleased that in just a short time, we have helped so many Maine residents save money on the purchase of new oilheat equipment, including aboveground storage tanks, boilers and furnaces.
Based on feedback from consumers who have taken advantage of this rebate program, the addition of new oilheat has made a positive difference in both comfort and efficiency levels, while also adding value to the home.
If you’re interested in upgrading to modern oilheating equipment and qualifying for rebates next year, why not spend some time now researching your options? This way, you’ll be ahead of the game when rebate funds become available again in 2020.
